If you are not satisfied with an inspection performed by an expert or specialist and you need a second opinion? VABIMEX Expertise can be of excellent service.
The reasons for a second opinion can be very diverse. Your vessel is inspected by an expert hired by a potential buyer, but you do not agree with the findings. To avoid endless discussions and a deadlock in the sales process, the execution of a counter appraisal is then a wise choice.
But also, in case of damage, a dispute may result between you and your insurer concerning the assessment of the damage(s). Insurers usually send their own experts to assess the damage.
If you do not agree with the findings & recommendations of this expert, you have the right to instruct your own expert for an independent second opinion. After a second opinion, there is always the possibility to discuss the findings with the customer and the insurer’s expert. We normally carry out counter appraisals in consultation with the relevant co-expert and, if required, after prior agreement on the appointment of an arbitrating expert.
